Application
The cable is coated in clear plastic to resist abrasion and rolls up for compact storage. This product features high-visibility warning labels with erasable areas for task-specific details. One tag fits into the lock at a time.
This lockout is used as part of the lockout/tagout (LO/TO) security procedures required at facilities where equipment or energy sources require the authorization of multiple people for secure access.
Lockout/tagout (LO/TO) safety procedures defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) require lockout equipment to be durable and standardized. Locking devices use colors, warning tags or tags, and physical barriers to temporarily disable machine operation or power activation and reduce accidents during maintenance or repairs. Cable locking devices consist of a steel or nylon cable and a lockable hasp to help prevent the cable from loosening or being pulled from the target latch or device.
